Become a Volunteer

Women and children in Tillamook County need help recovering from the devastating effects of family violence. They need information, support, advocacy in court and help obtaining community services. As a Women's Resource Center volunteer, you can help them break free from the cycle of violence and build a healthy, secure future.

We will provide free orientation and training. We have volunteer opportunities to match every skill. You will experience a powerful feeling of satisfaction and fulfillment. And you WILL make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Ways you can help

  • Volunteering on the Hotline,
  • Providing information and direct services to clients,
  • Providing office and clerical support,
  • Helping at the Wild Flower Thrift Boutique doing such things as sorting and inventory, creative sewing, furniture restoration and using other skills you may possess,
  • Helping with fund raising and public relations,
  • Performing maintenance and odd jobs,
  • Volunteering at the shelter.

We especially need Spanish speakers.

Whether you can offer one hour a week or 40, we would love to hear from you. Call the office at (503) 842-9486 or EMAIL us. You also may download a volunteer application form at right.

Volunteer training

We are seeking to dramatically enlarge our pool of volunteers. Recruitment is under way for a new volunteer training class that will begin soon. For information, contact Volunteer Coordinator Eleanor Watkins at the center, (503) 842-9486. CLICK HERE for more details.
