TCWRC has trained staff who
provide up to nine weeks of healthy relationships education to students of
local junior and senior high schools and alternative schools. This curriculum
and youth support is also offered to participants of the local Teen Parent
Program. TCWRC staff is also available to provide consultation to educators and
others who work with youth in how to best help youth who are experiencing or
perpetrating abuse.
The curriculum is designed
to assist youth in examining what constitutes a healthy relationship vs. an
unhealthy or abusive one, each individual's right to expect and give respect,
healthy boundaries, social supports for violence, how to build a support system
and be an ally and how to access help that is available.
